A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support high school students on a leave contract in Long Beach, CA. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students specific goals and abilities.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and challenges.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff to ensure an inclusive environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional methods as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to foster a supportive learning community.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential.
• Experience working with high school students in special education settings.
• Strong understanding of IDEA regulations and IEP development.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams and engage families in the educational process.
