Duties:
Set up and stock service stations with necessary items such as utensils, napkins, condiments, and beverages, ensuring everything is ready for guest service.
Serve beverages to guests promptly and professionally, including water, soft drinks, and alcohol if applicable, while maintaining a clean and organized service area.
Work closely with the caterer to understand the food service schedule and assist in the efficient distribution of food items as they are delivered.
Provide courteous and attentive service to guests, addressing any requests or concerns and ensuring a pleasant experience.
Continuously check on guests to anticipate their needs, refill drinks, and clear away used dishes or utensils in a timely manner.
Follow the event timeline as directed by the captain, ensuring that all service activities align with the schedule and flow of the event.
Keep service areas clean and organized throughout the event, promptly addressing any spills or messes, and ensuring that the dining area remains tidy.
Be attentive to special requests or dietary restrictions communicated by guests or the captain, ensuring they are handled appropriately.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and beverages, and maintain personal hygiene standards.
Assist in the breakdown and cleanup of service areas after the event, including clearing tables, removing trash, and storing equipment properly.
Work closely with the captain to ensure smooth operation of the event, providing support as needed and communicating any issues or feedback.
Attend pre-event briefings and debriefings to understand event details, service expectations, and performance feedback.
Ensure efficient and effective service throughout the event, minimizing wait times and maximizing guest satisfaction.
Follow Event-Specific Guidelines: Adhere to any specific guidelines or instructions provided for the event, including dress code, service style, and protocol.
Notify the Captain of any problems or discrepancies during the event, such as supply shortages or guest complaints, and assist in resolving them as directed.
