Overview Associate Legal Specialist - Commercial Banking Join to apply for the Associate Legal Specialist - Commercial Banking role at Capital One. Responsibilities Drafting and reviewing short form transaction-related documents Monitoring shared inbox and maintaining an accurate log of current transactions, status and review metrics Providing deal support throughout the lifespan of a transaction, including reviewing NDAs, coordinating collateral and perfection processes and storage of physical collateral and loan documents Managing library of form documents Managing annual renewals of signatory authority delegations and other internal governance processes Assisting attorneys with knowledge management, including gathering quarterly reports and other presentations and coordinating legal trainings Working with internal counsel and business clients to improve business practices and procedures Other tasks as needed by the legal department or business Qualifications Basic qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; at least 2 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department; at least 1 year of experience in process management Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or military experience; project management certification; 1+ years of experience in finance, real estate or other transactional practice area; paralegal certification Candidate Competencies Strong organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail Ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous workstreams and projects Team-oriented with the ability to build relationships with business leaders, attorneys, paralegals, project managers and administrative staff Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving, analytical, oral and written communication skills with proven ability to influence Work Arrangements This role is hybrid, with 3 days per week in-person at an office listed in this posting. Fridays are enterprise-wide virtual work days. In-person days are Monday–Thursday with options to collaborate in team spaces. Compensation Minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries by location are listed below. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. This information applies to candidates hired in the specified locations. New York, NY: $87,400 - $99,700 for Legal Specialist Associate McLean, VA: $80,100 - $91,400 for Legal Specialist Associate Other locations: pay range will be as per respective location This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives depending on the plan.
